About WallMinds

WallMinds is an independent urban-art publication for people who want to understand the work, improve their craft, and participate in street-art culture responsibly.

What we cover

WallMinds follows four connected lanes: graffiti lettering and wildstyle construction, legitimate walls and practical preparation, the broader visual culture of murals and street interventions, and the people who sustain local creative communities.

The goal is useful coverage rather than mood-board filler. Technique pieces should explain decisions, materials, sequence, and common failure points. Cultural pieces should connect artwork to place, history, and community without flattening every scene into the same generic story.

Our standard

We favor concrete, checkable detail: how a letter skeleton holds together, why negative space matters, what permission actually needs to cover, how wall condition changes preparation, and which parts of a process are personal preference rather than universal rules.

WallMinds does not present illegal activity as a shortcut to credibility. Location guides must distinguish verified permission from rumor, avoid exposing sensitive spaces, and encourage readers to confirm current rules with the owner or organizer.

Community knowledge

Street art is built by artists, photographers, organizers, wall caretakers, educators, and neighbors. We want multiple voices with identifiable experience, not one anonymous expert persona speaking for every city and style.

Respectful critique is welcome. Copying another artist's work, painting over pieces without understanding local conventions, or publishing private information is not. Contributions should make the shared knowledge clearer, safer, and more useful.
